Meet Lorna Barnett

The job of the Secretary of the NC District 11 Democratic Party is to keep an accurate record of what happens in our District meetings and in Officer’s planning sessions. This job, like so many others has become a digital one, filing electronic copies of everything. Soon I’ll be able to  place them in an online depository within a Google Workspace. Our records will be easy to find for years to come by future secretaries and other officers.
 

 On a personal note, I’ve been part of the Democratic Party as long as I’ve been an American and will continue for the foreseeable future. It is a pleasure to work with such professional officers under the leadership of Matt Balance and Jennifer Floyd. Great ideas are exploding all around us in meetings and around the district. It’s exciting to be able to capture those ideas and watch them become activities and movements.
