About the event
To bring attention to our apparent return to book banning advocacy, we started a Banned Book Club and we’re reading some of the books currently banned.
This month our book tells the story of Junior, a budding cartoonist growing up on the Spokane Indian Reservation. Determined to take his future into his own hands, Junior leaves his troubled school on the reservation to attend an all-white farm town high school. Anyone who is interested in reading and discussing books is invited. You don't need to have read the book to attend.
