About the event
Transylvania County Democratic Party Convention on March 19. With our democracy on the line, confederate flags flying in yards and on vehicles, property taxes soaring and lackluster Commission Board - will you join me and commit to spending one Saturday morning (March 19) to learn what local Democrats are doing and who is running for office? Conventions also provide an opportunity to meet other Democrats, share ideas and enthusiasm! We are doing all we can to make this year’s convention short and sweet.
The theme of this year’s convention is “The Year of The Woman.” Our keynote speaker is very familiar with the challenges women face in life and career. She is the first woman elected to statewide office in North Carolina!. She served in the NC Senate, and has run for US Senate. In 2020 she was re-elected to her 6th term as NC Secretary of State. I…
