The job of the Secretary of the NC District 11 Democratic Party is to keep an accurate record of what happens in our District meetings and in Officer’s planning sessions. TThis job, like so many others has become a digital one, filing electronic copies of everything. Now that they are in an online depository within Google Workspace, our records will be easy to find for years to come by future secretaries and other officers.

On a personal note, I’ve been part of the Democratic Party as long as I’ve been an American and will continue for the foreseeable future. Although I had tried to retire from this position, after a lengthy service as Secretary, when Taylor Bucklin relocated to Raleigh, I agreed to give an encore performance. The 2026 midterms election cycle, along with the period that follows, will absolutely require “all hands on deck.”

 

It truly is a pleasure to work with our very professional current officers.  Great ideas are exploding all around us in meetings and around the district. It’s exciting to be able to capture those ideas and watch them become activities and movements.
