Leslie Carey

I am honored and humbled to have been selected as the District Chair of NC-11. I was raised in a politically active and socially conscious Democratic family and serving the community was an integral part of my upbringing. Through my work within the Democratic party, I have discovered a love of organizing, being on the ground, door-knocking, making phone calls, and having thoughtful conversations about why Democratic ideals are necessary to keep Democracy alive in our country.

These instilled values shape how I envision serving our district as your Chair: one of listening to all voices across the district from each of our 15 counties, being supportive of our candidates, party officials, volunteers, and voters while maintaining focus on the bigger picture and working passionately towards our collective goals. I believe that if we all work together cohesively as a district, there’s nothing we can’t do here in Western North Carolina.
